8:45AM – Wave corrals open
9:00AM – First wave starts (each additional wave will start approximately every 2 minutes)
9:15AM - Beer Garden opens (1 free beer per participant 21 years and older)
9:45AM - Awards Ceremony
11:00AM - Wrap Up

In an effort to promote safety, the Turkey ROCK Trot will be using an assigned wave system for the start. If you wish to run or walk with others at the event, select the wave of your slowest person for all registrants. Note: You may move to a slower wave than assigned, but you cannot move to a faster wave than assigned. Remember your time does not start until you cross the timing mats.
Wave #1 – This wave is for anyone planning to RUN at a 8 minute per mile pace or faster.
Wave #2 – This wave is for anyone planning to RUN at a 8-10 minute per mile pace.
Wave #3 – This wave is for anyone planning to RUN at a 10-12 minute per mile pace.
Wave #4 – This wave is for anyone planning to RUN slower than a 12 minute per mile pace.
Wave #5 – This wave is for ALL leisurely walkers with strollers and dogs. Yes, and you too “night before Thanksgiving” partiers.
The number of waves are at the events discretion for safety and enjoyment of all participants and may change as needed.
Top 3 overall female and male (excluded from age group awards)

FASTEST TEAM of 4
Any size team - the top 4 fastest times are scored; must register as a team.
Parking is FREE at the DC Event Center parking lot. Get there early and carpool if possible. Instead of food, THIS YEAR we ask that you bring a bag of toiletry items such as toothpaste, soap, deodorant, toilet paper, etc. to stock the Douglas/Elbert Task Force. Let’s go big on this and bring in several thousand lbs!

WEATHER AND LIABILITY
Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat will keep us from hosting the Turkey ROCK Trot. Keep in mind the route may not be cleared in the event of concerning Colorado weather conditions. Please plan accordingly. We assume no liability for injuries.
